We’re a global fintech operating in a fully cloud-based, 24/7 regulated environment. As we continue to scale, we’re hiring a Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer to act as the right-hand to our Head of IT.
This is a hands-on, high-impact role suited to someone who thrives in complex, always-on environments. You’ll take ownership of day-to-day infrastructure operations, act as the senior escalation point and independently deliver key projects across a multi-cloud ecosystem.
This role is also designed as a clear progression pathway into IT leadership as the function evolves.
What you’ll be doing
Infrastructure ownership
- Own and optimise Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Entra ID)
- Manage Intune and endpoint security across Windows, macOS and mobile
- Support and maintain Azure, AWS and GCP environments
- Oversee identity, access control and conditional access policies
- Support both Linux and Windows workloads in cloud environments
- Ensure high availability across all business-critical systems (24/7)
Operational excellence
- Act as the senior escalation point for complex technical issues
- Troubleshoot across cloud, SaaS and endpoint environments
- Maintain documentation, runbooks and infrastructure standards
- Identify and reduce technical debt
- Drive improvements in automation, monitoring and reliability
Security & compliance
- Support PCI-DSS compliance and audit readiness
- Maintain secure configuration standards
- Partner closely with security and compliance teams
- Proactively identify risks and implement mitigation strategies
Project delivery
- Lead infrastructure and cloud projects end-to-end
- Deliver migrations, optimisations and platform improvements
- Roll out new tools and services across a global user base
- Enhance device management and security posture
Business engagement
- Work closely with internal stakeholders across the business
- Translate technical issues into clear, business-friendly language
- Remain calm and decisive in high-pressure situations
What we’re looking for
- 5+ years’ experience in IT infrastructure or cloud engineering
- Strong hands-on expertise in:
- Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Entra ID)
- Intune / Endpoint Management
- Linux and Windows systems
- macOS in enterprise environments
- Experience in regulated environments (PCI-DSS highly desirable)
- Proven track record in 24/7, business-critical environments
