A household name and one of the world’s largest home-furnishing brands, IKEA boasts hundreds of stores globally. Its franchise group, IKANO, needed a payment partner to simplify its complex payment ecosystem by consolidating multiple functions under one provider.


The Challenge

Ikano Retail, operating in the APAC region, was experiencing difficulties that many global retail businesses face.

To be able to facilitate the fragmented market throughout SEA, IKANO needed to be able to provide as many local payment methods as possible. Maintaining relationships with multiple banks and providers also created extra complexity and operational overhead.
The limited flexibility to add multiple payment methods, as well as onboard new acquirers, took up a lot of time to manage stakeholders, resources and unnecessary manual efforts. Ikano Retail needed a provider who could streamline their efforts and simplify operations.
