The Challenge

Wave Direct came to Nomupay with two key objectives: to reduce their risk appetite and improve the customer experience. They sought out a payments partner that could deliver alternative payment methods capable of providing their customers with secure financing options.

Wave also required faster checkout methods that provided the most convenient and seamless payment experience for customers. In an effort to reduce its chargeback ratio, Wave Direct needed a way to process with risk-assured payment methods, utilising advanced chargeback defence services as an add-value tool to de-escalate fraud.

The Solution

Nomupay provided Wave Direct customers with popularly demanded payment methods from its payment portfolio when they checkout.

With the option to pay via the likes of Apple Pay and Klarna, incidences of fraud have been drastically reduced with natively occurring fraud liability shifts and 3D secure 2.0 authentication protocols.

Simultaneously, Nomupay supplied Wave Direct with Fraud Suite; its chargeback defence service - located directly within its core business platform - Unified Platform. With Fraud Suite, Wave Direct is able to de-escalate transactions categorised as high risk whilst defending chargebacks in as little as 2-clicks.
