Head of Sales (APAC)

We are looking for a Head of Sales (APAC) with experience in the merchant acquiring and third-party
payment company businesses, enterprise consultative sales and international payouts. This position
will report to the SVP, Commercial Head of APAC, and will work with other teams to drive growth for
Nomupay.

Key responsibilities:

  • Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement a regional sales strategy aligned with
    global objectives, ensuring sustainable revenue growth.
  • Market Expansion: Identify and prioritise key markets, adapting sales strategies to local
    regulatory environments and competitive landscapes.
  • Revenue Growth: Drive aggressive sales targets individually and within the team to ensure
    profitability across payment solutions.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing sales team,
    fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Client & Partner Engagement: Establish and maintain strong relationships with key clients,
    financial institutions, and payment partners to enhance market presence.
  • Cross-Border Payments & Treasury Management: Oversee strategies for domestic and
    international payment solutions, ensuring seamless transactions and compliance.
  • Collaboration with Product & Marketing Teams: Work closely with internal teams to refine
    value propositions, enhance product offerings and drive market adoption.
  • P&L Ownership: Manage financial performance of the team and ensure long-term
    profitability.

Skills and experience:

  • 10 to 12 years of Sales experience in e-commerce acquiring, online payment industries, brick-n-mortar (POS) payments and international payouts; ideally in a fast-growing start-up-like environment.
  • A solid network of potential prospects and partners in the region is highly preferable.
  • Track record of hitting and exceeding sales goals as an individual contributor in charge of the full sales cycle.
  • Self-driven with a strong appetite for a challenge.
  • Highly collaborative, with the ability to work cross-functionally and provide insight to various internal stakeholders across the business.
  • Highly organised and effective in driving internal processes forward.
  • Knowledge of consultative sales frameworks and CRM systems.
  • Tech-savvy and a fast learner, with a real passion for solving complex problems.
  • Extraordinary communication and negotiation skills.
  • Able to prioritise shifting workloads and responsibilities effectively.
  • Experience working with marketplaces, marketplace solutions, FX, fraud management or card-issuing solutions is a plus, but not mandatory.
  • Fluent in English and Mandarin.
