We are seeking a detail-oriented, payment-savvy Business Analyst – In-Store Payments to collaborate closely with Engineers, Product Managers and external partners. This role is critical in defining, analysing and documenting requirements that support the successful delivery and optimisation of our in-store payment solutions across the APAC region. You will act as the key bridge between business needs and technical implementation, ensuring product-market fit and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to gather and document detailed business and technical requirements for in-store payment initiatives.
- Translate high-level business goals and partner specifications into clear, actionable user stories, functional requirements and payment workflows.
- Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date documentation including requirements, integration guides, process flows and onboarding materials.
- Support the execution of User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to validate that delivered solutions align with business and partner requirements.
- Define and maintain test scenarios, edge cases and expected outcomes for key features and integrations.
- Contribute to the certification process for payment schemes (e.g., Visa, MasterCard, UPI) as required.
Key Requirements:
- 3–5 years of experience as a Business Analyst within the in-store payments industry (e.g., acquirers, processors, schemes).
- Strong working knowledge of in-store payment technologies such as EMV, contactless/NFC, QR code and messaging protocols like ISO 8583 and REST APIs.
- Familiarity with payment scheme certification processes and compliance requirements (e.g., Visa, MasterCard, UPI).
- Experience working with BTT and ASTREX tools is a strong plus.
- Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to convey technical details to non-technical stakeholders and vice versa.
